Mischa

This is one of the amazing pictures Hubby took of Mischa a couple of months ago. It's one of my favorite pictures of her that we've ever taken.

Lounging with my Buddy

I've always loved to read. If I'm at home, chances are, I'm either cooking or reading (sometimes both!). Since that activity does not directly involve Mischa, she does her best to make sure she's still the center of attention. This time I was lucky - she usually tries to curl up on my book. :)

Mischa

This is Mischa on the first night I had the new camera. I was looking around for things to take pictures of and she's a (mostly willing) subject. :)

Mischa at Play

We tried to play a game on our Wii last night for the first time since bringing Mischa home. It turned out that the game was pretty lousy, but Mischa was super entertaining. :) She tried to get at the curser on the tv screen. We played with her like that for about 30 minutes. Way better than the doofy game.

At one point, she noticed that the cursor was disappearing at the side of the screen, so she jumped up beside the tv to try to figure out where it was going!

This one is Mischa playing in front of a mirror (technically, I think she was taking a break to take a bath). This one has the added bonus of showing our new carpet. :)

Welcome home, Mischa!!

This is our adroable new kitten, Mischa. We just got her last night from a rescue group we found on Petfinders.com. She's really very sweet and affectionate and loves to play. In fact, she's perched in my lap, helping me type my blog this morning!!
I tried to get one of her by my shoe to show how tiny she is (or how big my feet are......nope.....let's stick with tiny kitten.) :)

She's a little over three months old (we think) and is an absolute doll. She even figured out how to work this toy in just a few minutes (there's a ball that runs in a track around the scratchy center). She's also totally a lap cat which is really cool, since I've never really had one of those before. When she wasn't playing last night, she was curled up in my lap. :-D

So here she is, our newest member of the family. Welcome home, Mischa!
