Sky Watch Friday

This is Bee Rock in north central Tennessee. Taken when we were on vacation a while back. A friend of our family runs a really nice Bed and Breakfast there. :)

Very nice. It sure does look like a hive. I like the shades of green in the distance, too.

Your photo reminded me of another I visited for today's skywatch -- just about the same angle of "rock" and sky! Great colors!

Looks peaceful and quiet. A bit far away for B & B though...

Is it a cave I see?

Very nice shot!
Out of curiosity, do you know why was it called Bee Rock? :P

Is it because of the formations of the rock?...

To answer a couple of questions...
I don't think it's a cave - I think it's just the formation of the cliff things. It's a little hard to tell from this particular picture, but the rock formation is shaped just like a bee hive, so they call it Bee Rock. :)

I'll post some more pics of it in my blog tomorrow that better show how high it is. It's crazy scary high (especially considering that where I grew up, the highest mountain was a sand dune!)

Thanks for the nice comments, everybody! :)
